Meta Platforms is expanding its Muse AI agent to small businesses, adding support for a wide range of popular business tools.
The move is designed to help business owners manage daily operations, organize customer information and attract new customers. It also forms part of Meta’s broader effort to diversify revenue beyond its core advertising business.
Muse Connects With Shopify, QuickBooks and Stripe
Muse for Small Business can connect with several widely used platforms, including Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe and Canva.
The AI agent can also access data from Instagram professional accounts, Facebook Pages and Meta advertising accounts.
Additional integrations include Asana, Box, Dropbox, Figma, Klaviyo, Notion, Slack and Zoom.
Meta said Muse can connect with dozens of business tools, allowing the AI system to work across a company’s storefront, financial records, brand assets and customer data.
Meta Keeps Users in Control of AI Actions
Meta stressed that Muse will not automatically publish content, send messages or complete purchases without user approval.
This gives business owners control over important actions while still allowing the AI agent to assist with routine tasks and workflows.
Muse is free for most standard uses. Meta also offers paid subscription plans for users who want access to additional features.
Muse AI Gains Early Popularity
Meta initially launched Muse earlier this month as a personal AI agent.
The service was designed to handle tasks such as online shopping, travel bookings, email management and payments on behalf of users.
Muse has since climbed to the top of free-app rankings in the United States and Canada in recent weeks.
According to estimates from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, the app recorded around 2.8 million downloads during its first two weeks.
Meta Shares Rise in Pre-Market Trading
Investor sentiment around the announcement was positive, with Meta shares trading more than 1.4% higher in pre-market trading on Tuesday.
The small business expansion could give Meta another avenue to increase adoption of its AI products while strengthening its position in the rapidly growing market for AI agents and business automation.
