Trump Signals Expectation for Immediate Rate Cuts

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he expects swift action on interest rates from Kevin Warsh, his nominee for Federal Reserve Chair. Speaking to CNBC, Trump noted that he would be disappointed if Warsh does not move quickly to lower rates once confirmed by the Senate and sworn into office.

Focus on Federal Reserve Spending

In addition to monetary policy, Trump also raised concerns about the cost of constructing the Federal Reserve’s new building. He stated that the administration needs to review and better understand the expenses associated with the project.
