Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Tuesday that the United States and Iran may be moving closer to a possible peace arrangement.
Speaking to Bloomberg News in Islamabad, Asif said recent signals suggest that diplomatic progress has improved over the past few days.
Signs Point to Diplomatic Progress
According to Asif, the situation appears to be shifting again toward a potential peace deal.
He said that developments in the last two or three days indicate that both sides may be close to reaching some form of arrangement.
Regional Peace Seen as Important
Asif also said that lasting peace between the US and Iran would benefit the wider region.
His comments come as investors and governments continue to watch diplomatic developments closely, especially because tensions between Washington and Tehran can affect regional stability, energy markets, and global risk sentiment.
