The XRP Ledger Foundation has reported strong progress toward the rollout of XRPL version 3.3.0, with more than 60% of network nodes now running the latest software.
At the same time, the foundation is urging remaining node operators to upgrade and asking validators to complete voting on several amendments before the new version can move toward full mainnet activation.
The development comes as XRP continues to benefit from strong market momentum and increased institutional interest.
XRP Ledger 3.3.0 Adoption Passes 60%
According to XRP Ledger Operations, approximately 62.5% of network nodes have already upgraded to version 3.3.0.
Validator adoption is even higher, with around 68.5% of validators now running the latest release.
However, the network still needs broader participation before the upgrade can move forward fully.
Node operators using older software versions are being encouraged to update because outdated nodes could eventually become amendment-blocked once new features are activated.
XRPL Needs 80% Validator Support
For amendments connected to the XRP Ledger 3.3.0 release to become active, they must secure at least 80% validator support.
This threshold is an important part of the XRP Ledger’s decentralized amendment process.
Once the required level of consensus is reached and maintained, approved changes can move toward activation on the mainnet.
The XRP Ledger Foundation is therefore pushing validators to finalize their votes and ensure their infrastructure is running the latest software.
Six XRPL Amendments Await Final Voting
Validators are currently being asked to complete voting on six amendments associated with the latest upgrade.
These include:
- Confidential Transfer
- BatchV1_1
- DynamicMPT
- PermissionDelegationV1_1
- Sponsor
- fixCleanup3_3_0
Each amendment focuses on improving different aspects of the XRP Ledger’s functionality, security, and transaction infrastructure.
Ripple has already voted in favor of several proposals, including the fixCleanup amendment and PermissionDelegationV1_1.
Permission Delegation Adds New Authorization Features
The Permission Delegation amendment is designed to introduce a new authorization mechanism to the XRP Ledger.
The feature would allow certain permissions to be delegated without requiring users to hand over complete control of an account.
This could expand the flexibility of XRPL-based applications, particularly for institutional services and more advanced financial use cases.
Meanwhile, fixCleanup3_3_0 includes a collection of technical fixes intended to improve overall network reliability.
XRP Ledger 3.3.0 Brings Performance Improvements
The latest XRP Ledger upgrade also includes several improvements to network performance.
Version 3.3.0 is expected to reduce memory consumption and improve synchronization between nodes.
These changes follow the earlier XRPL 3.2.0 update, which introduced additional improvements to the network’s core server infrastructure.
Better synchronization and reduced resource usage could help node operators run XRP Ledger infrastructure more efficiently.
XRP Price Extends Strong Weekly Rally
The XRPL upgrade progress comes as XRP price remains in a strong upward trend.
According to the figures cited in the report, XRP is trading around $1.46, gaining more than 2% on the day and approximately 50% over the past week.
During the previous 24 hours, XRP traded between approximately $1.45 and $1.54.
However, trading volume declined around 20%, suggesting that short-term market participation had eased despite the recent price rally.
XRP ETF Inflows Show Institutional Demand
Institutional activity around XRP also remains significant.
Spot XRP ETFs reportedly attracted approximately $39.78 million in inflows during the previous week.
Goldman Sachs has also returned as a major XRP ETF holder, adding another institutional element to the broader XRP investment narrative.
Continued ETF demand could remain an important factor for investors monitoring XRP’s market performance.
XRP Futures Open Interest Continues to Rise
Derivatives activity has also increased.
XRP futures open interest climbed nearly 2% to around $3.72 billion over the previous 24 hours.
Four-hour open interest increased by approximately 2.44%, while shorter-term data also showed rising activity across major derivatives platforms.
Higher open interest generally indicates that more capital is entering futures positions, although it can also increase volatility when traders use significant leverage.
What Comes Next for XRP Ledger 3.3.0?
The main focus now is on validator participation.
With more than 60% of nodes and nearly 70% of validators already upgraded, the XRP Ledger is making progress toward broader adoption of version 3.3.0.
However, the remaining validators still need to upgrade and finalize their votes before the required consensus threshold can be reached.
If adoption continues at its current pace, attention will shift toward whether the six amendments can secure the necessary 80% validator support for activation.
For XRP holders, developers, and institutions, the rollout represents another important step in the ongoing development of the XRP Ledger’s infrastructure.
