Michael Saylor has sparked speculation that Strategy could soon resume its Bitcoin purchases after a two-month pause focused on strengthening the company’s balance sheet.
The latest signal came after Saylor posted the message “We’re Back” on X, fueling expectations that Strategy may be preparing to return to aggressive Bitcoin accumulation.
Saylor’s Latest Post Fuels Bitcoin Buying Speculation
For many market watchers, Saylor’s message carries significant weight.
He has previously posted cryptic weekend messages shortly before Strategy announced fresh Bitcoin purchases on Monday mornings.
Because of that history, investors are interpreting the latest post as a possible signal that the company is preparing to resume its Bitcoin buying strategy.
If that pattern continues, Strategy could soon end the pause that temporarily halted its regular cryptocurrency purchases.
Strategy Paused Bitcoin Purchases for Two Months
Over the past two months, Strategy stepped away from its usual weekly Bitcoin accumulation.
Instead, management shifted its attention toward improving the company’s financial position and strengthening liquidity.
During that period, Strategy focused on stabilizing its preferred stock offerings and building a $5.1 billion U.S. dollar reserve.
The company also established a separate $1.59 billion cash pool, largely funded through substantial common stock offerings.
These measures provided Strategy with additional financial flexibility before potentially returning to the Bitcoin market.
Bitcoin Recovery Improves Strategy’s Position
The pause in Bitcoin purchases came during a difficult period for the cryptocurrency market.
Strategy, which holds the largest corporate Bitcoin treasury, saw the value of its holdings fall significantly on paper as Bitcoin prices weakened.
However, improving macroeconomic conditions have recently helped Bitcoin recover above the $80,000 level.
That recovery has also strengthened Strategy’s financial position.
Strategy Holds More Than 840,000 Bitcoin
Strategy currently owns more than 840,447 Bitcoin, with an average purchase price of approximately $75,385 per BTC.
With Bitcoin trading back above that average cost basis, the company’s overall position has returned to unrealized profitability after spending months under pressure.
The recovery could give Strategy greater confidence to restart its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
Strategy Could Return to Aggressive Bitcoin Accumulation
Saylor’s “We’re Back” message may carry both operational and psychological significance.
From an operational perspective, it could suggest that Strategy is preparing to deploy some of its available capital into additional Bitcoin purchases.
From a market perspective, the message signals renewed confidence after the company’s massive Bitcoin position moved back into positive territory.
If Strategy resumes buying, it would reinforce the company’s long-standing commitment to Bitcoin and could attract renewed attention from institutional and cryptocurrency investors.
For now, Saylor has not officially confirmed a new purchase. However, given his previous posting patterns, the crypto market will likely be watching closely for Strategy’s next Bitcoin announcement.
