Amadeus Reports Strong Q1 Revenue and Profit Growth
Travel technology company Amadeus IT Group reported solid first-quarter financial results on Friday, with group revenue increasing 3.1% year-over-year to €1.68 billion. On a constant currency basis, revenue growth reached 7.9%.
The company also posted higher profitability during the quarter. Operating income rose 2.8% to €474.9 million, while adjusted EBIT climbed to €500 million, representing a 6.6% increase at constant currency.
Earnings and Cash Flow Improve
Adjusted diluted earnings per share grew 8.8% at constant currency, highlighting continued operational strength despite a more uncertain macroeconomic environment.
Meanwhile, free cash flow totaled €273.6 million in the first quarter, marking a 4.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
Company Monitoring Global Uncertainty
Amadeus said it delivered strong revenue and profit growth during the quarter, although business volumes slowed in March following geopolitical developments in the Middle East.
The company noted that it continues to see solid commercial momentum across its operations but remains cautious due to ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty and the difficulty of predicting short-term impacts.
Full-Year Outlook Maintained
Despite recent geopolitical and economic challenges, Amadeus confirmed that it still expects to meet its previously announced full-year guidance targets.
The company added that it will update investors if its outlook changes in the coming months.
