David Schwartz Sparks Buzz in XRP Community

David Schwartz, the former CTO of Ripple, has stirred discussion across the XRP community after revealing that he added a trust line for a new meme coin on the XRP Ledger.

In a post on X, Schwartz confirmed the move, stating that he had followed through on his intention to add a trust line for the $FUZZY token. However, he emphasized clearly that this action should not be interpreted as an endorsement of the project.

He explained that he has limited knowledge about the token itself but appreciates the community behind it, describing it as “fun.”

What a Trust Line Means on XRPL

On the XRP Ledger, a trust line is a key feature that allows users to hold and transact tokens issued by other accounts.

Unlike native assets, these tokens require users to explicitly establish trust by setting a limit, effectively signaling that they are willing to accept and interact with that asset. This mechanism forms the backbone of how non-native tokens operate within the XRPL ecosystem.

FUZZY Meme Coin Gains Momentum

The token in question, Fuzzybear (FUZZY), is a meme coin built on the XRP Ledger. It draws inspiration from a well-known moment in XRPL history involving a decentralized exchange order that has since become part of the network’s lore.

With a total supply of approximately 321 billion tokens, FUZZY has positioned itself as a community-driven asset. Recently, it has seen strong market performance, rising nearly 49% over the past month and about 13% in the last week, despite a slight pullback in the most recent session.

Schwartz Pushes Back on XRP Hype

In a separate update, Schwartz addressed ongoing speculation surrounding XRP’s long-term price potential. He dismissed conspiracy theories suggesting that Ripple has undisclosed plans involving XRP.

He also challenged the widely circulated idea that XRP could reach $10,000 within the next decade, calling such expectations unrealistic. According to him, if such a scenario were likely, major investors would already be heavily accumulating the asset—which is not currently evident.

Community Impact and Market Interpretation

Schwartz’s decision to interact with the FUZZY token, even without endorsing it, has amplified attention around the project. At the same time, his comments on XRP valuation bring a more grounded perspective to a market often driven by speculation.

The development highlights how influential figures within the crypto space can shape narratives—even through relatively small actions like adding a trust line.
