Foxconn, officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, reported a sharp increase in second-quarter revenue. The growth was driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence products, although the company also warned that geopolitical uncertainty remains a risk.

The world’s largest contract electronics maker said revenue for the April-to-June quarter jumped 39.8% year-on-year to T$2.513 trillion, or about $78.71 billion.

Foxconn Beats Market Expectations

Foxconn’s second-quarter revenue came in above market forecasts.

According to Reuters and LSEG estimates, analysts had expected revenue of T$2.372 trillion. The stronger result highlighted the company’s growing exposure to the artificial intelligence supply chain.

AI Demand Drives Growth

Foxconn said demand for cloud and networking products remained strong as AI development continued to expand.

The company has benefited from rising demand for data center equipment, networking components, and AI-related infrastructure. These areas have become important growth drivers as global technology companies increase spending on artificial intelligence.

Consumer Electronics Also Improve

Foxconn also reported solid growth in its consumer electronics business.

The company is Apple’s top iPhone assembler and remains a key part of the global technology supply chain. Stronger consumer electronics demand helped support revenue in recent quarters.

Foxconn’s Role in the AI Supply Chain

Foxconn is also the largest server maker for NVIDIA, making it a major supplier in the AI hardware market.

As demand for AI servers and related infrastructure grows, Foxconn has become one of the key beneficiaries of the global AI boom.

Geopolitical Risks Remain a Concern

Despite the strong revenue performance, Foxconn warned that global political and economic volatility could affect its outlook.

The company did not provide specific details, but geopolitical uncertainty remains an important risk for major technology manufacturers with global supply chains.

Outlook for the Current Quarter

Foxconn said AI rack shipments are expected to continue growing in the current quarter.

The company also expects seasonal trends to support consumer electronics sales, which could provide another boost to revenue.

Overall, Foxconn’s strong second-quarter results show how AI demand continues to support major technology suppliers, even as geopolitical risks remain a challenge.
