Bitcoin ETF inflows strengthened on Tuesday as US-listed spot Bitcoin funds attracted approximately $176 million in fresh investments, marking their second consecutive trading day of positive flows.
The latest inflows brought the two-day total to $286 million, helping offset recent withdrawals as Bitcoin recovered above the $80,000 level.
However, investor sentiment remained cautious, while Ethereum exchange-traded funds continued experiencing significant outflows.
Bitcoin ETF Inflows Reach $286 Million in Two Days
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $176 million in net inflows on Tuesday, October 27, according to data from cryptocurrency analytics platform SoSoValue.
The figure represented an increase from Monday’s $110 million, bringing total inflows across the two sessions to approximately $286 million.
The recovery followed a difficult period for Bitcoin investment products, which experienced nearly $774 million in combined withdrawals during the previous Thursday and Friday.
Despite the recent improvement, October’s overall ETF flows remained slightly negative.
Cumulative net outflows for the month narrowed to approximately $26 million through Tuesday, while year-to-date net inflows stood at roughly $850 million.
The latest figures suggest that demand for Bitcoin investment products is recovering, although the short inflow streak does not yet confirm a sustained reversal in institutional sentiment.
Bitcoin Price Rebounds Above $80,000
The return of positive Bitcoin ETF inflows coincided with a recovery in the cryptocurrency’s market price.
Bitcoin traded near $80,818 at the time of the report, representing a gain of approximately 1.6% over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinGecko.
The rebound followed a period of increased volatility that had weakened investor confidence and contributed to withdrawals from cryptocurrency investment funds.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs provide investors with exposure to Bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts, without requiring them to purchase or directly store the cryptocurrency.
Consequently, changes in ETF inflows and outflows are closely monitored as an indicator of demand for regulated Bitcoin investment products.
However, fund flows alone do not determine future price movements, which also depend on broader market conditions, liquidity and investor expectations.
Crypto Fear and Greed Index Signals Cautious Optimism
Cryptocurrency market sentiment showed modest signs of improvement alongside Bitcoin’s price recovery.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, published by Alternative.me, increased to 51 from 48 the previous day.
Despite the improvement, the indicator remained within the “Neutral” category, suggesting that investors had not returned to strongly bullish sentiment.
A week earlier, the index stood at 63, indicating “Greed” and reflecting greater market confidence.
The decline from that earlier reading highlights how quickly investor sentiment can shift during periods of cryptocurrency market volatility.
Although the latest Bitcoin ETF inflows have helped stabilize sentiment, further positive developments may be necessary to sustain the recovery.
Ethereum ETFs Face Continued Investor Withdrawals
While Bitcoin investment funds attracted renewed capital, US spot Ethereum ETFs continued to experience selling pressure.
Ether ETFs recorded approximately $149 million in combined net outflows during Monday and Tuesday, extending a difficult period for investment products linked to the second-largest cryptocurrency.
The withdrawals followed four consecutive weeks of negative weekly flows, indicating persistent weakness in demand.
October’s cumulative net outflows from Ethereum ETFs reached approximately $1.32 billion through Tuesday.
If the trend continues, the month could register the largest net withdrawals from US spot Ether ETFs since November 2025.
Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Flows Show Diverging Trends
The contrasting performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum investment funds highlights a growing difference in investor demand across major cryptocurrency assets.
Bitcoin ETFs have recovered part of their recent losses, while Ethereum-focused products continue to face substantial withdrawals.
However, two consecutive days of positive Bitcoin ETF inflows are not sufficient to establish a lasting improvement in market conditions.
Investors will likely monitor whether additional capital enters Bitcoin funds and whether Ethereum ETFs begin showing signs of stabilization.
For now, Bitcoin’s return above $80,000 and the improvement in ETF flows offer encouraging signals, but the broader cryptocurrency market remains sensitive to changes in investor sentiment and institutional demand.
