Trump Media & Technology Group has reportedly transferred another 2,628 Bitcoin to Crypto.com, continuing a series of reductions in its cryptocurrency holdings.
According to blockchain analytics cited by Lookonchain, the latest movement brings the company’s reported Bitcoin disposals over the past seven months to 7,281 BTC.
Trump Media’s remaining holdings are estimated at 4,261 BTC.
Trump Media Transfers $165 Million in Bitcoin
Trump Media, the company behind Truth Social, transferred approximately 2,628 Bitcoin worth around $165 million to Crypto.com.
Blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain reported the activity in a post on X, citing wallet data from Arkham.
The movement included two separate transactions. One transfer contained approximately 2,429 BTC, while another involved about 198.9 BTC.
Although transfers to an exchange can indicate an intention to sell, blockchain data alone does not always confirm that every coin was immediately converted into cash.
Bitcoin Holdings Have Fallen Sharply
Lookonchain estimated that Trump Media originally acquired 11,542 BTC at an average price of approximately $118,522 per coin.
The company reportedly began reducing its holdings seven months ago.
Since then, its total reported Bitcoin sales have reached 7,281 BTC, representing a reduction of roughly 63% from the original position.
Lookonchain calculated that those coins were sold at an average price of around $74,855 per Bitcoin.
Based on that estimate, the reported sales were worth approximately $545 million.
Trump Media Retains 4,261 BTC
Arkham data showed that Trump Media-linked wallets still held approximately 4,261 Bitcoin at the time of publication.
Those remaining coins were valued at around $269.8 million.
The size of the remaining position means the company continues to have substantial exposure to Bitcoin price movements.
Further declines in the cryptocurrency could reduce the value of the treasury, while a recovery could increase the value of the remaining holdings.
Earlier Transfers Also Went to Crypto.com
The latest Bitcoin movements followed two earlier transfers recorded on May 22.
On that date, Trump Media-linked wallets moved a combined 2,650 BTC to Crypto.com.
Those coins were valued at approximately $205 million at the time.
The repeated use of the same exchange has strengthened speculation that Trump Media has been gradually selling or restructuring its Bitcoin position.
DJT Shares Decline More Than 25%
Trump Media’s stock has also experienced significant weakness during the same seven-month period.
Shares traded under the DJT ticker have fallen by more than 25%.
The stock closed Friday at $9.86, according to market data cited in the original report.
The decline may reflect a combination of factors, including concerns about the company’s financial performance, cryptocurrency exposure, political risks, and wider market sentiment.
Crypto Holdings Face Political Scrutiny
The Bitcoin transactions come as Trump-linked cryptocurrency projects face growing political and ethical scrutiny.
U.S. lawmakers are debating the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, commonly known as the CLARITY Act.
The legislation has sparked discussions about digital asset ownership, ethics requirements, and possible conflicts of interest involving elected officials.
Critics have raised questions about the connection between political influence and privately held cryptocurrency ventures.
Trump-Linked Crypto Projects Draw Attention
Several digital asset projects associated with President Donald Trump and his family have been mentioned during the debate.
These include the Official Trump memecoin, the Melania token, and World Liberty Financial’s WLFI governance token.
The USD1 stablecoin has also attracted attention.
Critics argue that such ventures may create potential conflicts when public officials are involved in shaping cryptocurrency regulation.
Supporters, however, may view the projects as private commercial activities operating within the developing digital asset market.
CLARITY Act Could Tighten Ethics Rules
Recent discussions surrounding the CLARITY Act have included proposals for stricter ethics provisions.
These could affect whether public officials are permitted to issue, sponsor, promote, or hold certain digital assets.
However, the legislation remains under consideration.
It does not currently require companies such as Trump Media to sell their existing cryptocurrency holdings.
Trump Media Launches Truth API
The transactions also came as Trump Media introduced a new subscription-based data service called Truth API.
The service provides companies with faster access to posts published on Truth Social by President Trump.
Reports suggest the service may cost as much as $100,000 per month.
Trump Media has described it as a direct, licensed, real-time feed for posts that may influence financial markets, politics, and public sentiment.
Why the Bitcoin Sales Matter
Trump Media’s reported Bitcoin sales are significant because the company originally built a large cryptocurrency treasury.
Reducing that position may help raise cash, manage risk, or finance other business activities.
However, selling below the reported average purchase price could also result in substantial realised losses.
Investors will therefore watch future wallet movements, company filings, and financial statements for clearer information about the reasons behind the transactions.
Trump Media Bitcoin Outlook
Trump Media still holds more than 4,200 Bitcoin despite cutting its reported position by approximately 63%.
The remaining holdings continue to expose the company to cryptocurrency-market volatility.
At the same time, scrutiny surrounding Trump-linked digital assets and the CLARITY Act could remain an important source of political and regulatory risk.
Future disclosures may reveal whether the company plans to continue selling Bitcoin or retain the remainder as a long-term treasury asset.
