The latest XRP Ledger software upgrade is gaining momentum, with more validators moving to version 3.2.0. Recent data from XRPL Explorer shows that 66% of trusted validators have already adopted the new release.

The rollout comes as the network prepares to activate the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment, which addresses several technical issues affecting existing XRP Ledger features.

XRP Ledger v3.2.0 Adoption Continues to Rise

According to the latest upgrade tracker, 99 validators are currently running XRP Ledger version 3.2.0. This represents approximately 66% of the trusted validator network.

In addition, 481 nodes have upgraded to the latest version, accounting for 57.33% of the network’s nodes.

However, many operators continue to use older software. Version 3.1.3 remains active on 42 validators, representing 28% of the validator set. The same version is also running on 322 nodes, or 38.38% of the XRP Ledger’s 825 tracked nodes.

The XRP Ledger amendment system requires at least 80% validator support to remain in place for two consecutive weeks before an amendment can activate. Therefore, adoption of version 3.2.0 remains around 14 percentage points below that threshold.

What Does XRP Ledger v3.2.0 Introduce?

XRP Ledger version 3.2.0 includes infrastructure upgrades, developer-focused improvements and several important bug fixes.

One of its most notable changes comes through XLS-0095. The proposal officially renames the XRP Ledger server software from “rippled” to “xrpld.”

The upgrade rollout began on June 15. As a result, validators and node operators must update configuration paths, deployment scripts, metadata references and database directories to reflect the new software name.

FixCleanup3_2_0 Amendment Gains Strong Support

Meanwhile, the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment has already passed the required voting threshold. It currently has 85.71% validator support, with 30 validators voting in favor and six voting against it.

The proposal has now entered the mandatory two-week activation period. Its scheduled activation date is July 29, 2026, at 09:57 UTC, provided validator support remains above 80% throughout the entire countdown.

XRPL validator Vet has encouraged node operators to complete their upgrades before the amendment becomes active.

What Problems Will the Amendment Fix?

The fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment does not introduce major new XRP Ledger features. Instead, it improves the reliability and accuracy of existing functions.

The amendment addresses calculation and rounding issues involving Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol. It also resolves technical problems connected to the Permissioned Decentralized Exchange and Permissioned Domains.

These fixes are expected to strengthen the XRP Ledger’s infrastructure as validator adoption of version 3.2.0 continues to grow.
