In a separate incident, the U.S. military said a third service member was killed on Saturday in northern Iraq.
The deaths led the United States to expand its military campaign against Iranian targets.
Iran Responds With Missile and Drone Strikes
Iran retaliated by launching missile and drone attacks on nearby Gulf countries that host U.S. military bases.
Iranian media reported early Monday that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had targeted military aircraft at an airport in Jordan.
The exchange of attacks marked a sharp escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.
Strait of Hormuz Remains a Key Flashpoint
The conflict has increasingly focused on control of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran said it had largely restricted access to the waterway by deploying ships and mines. Meanwhile, the United States said it had reinstated a naval blockade against Iran.
