France June Inflation Sends Mixed Signal: Monthly Prices Fall, Yearly Rate Hits 2.0%

France’s consumer prices declined by 0.3% in June compared with the previous month, according to final data released by INSEE on Friday.

Annual Inflation Reached 2.0%

The EU-harmonized consumer price index stood at 102.36 in June. On an annual basis, prices increased by 2.0% compared with June 2025.

National CPI Also Declined Monthly

France’s national consumer price index came in at 102.11. This marked a 0.3% decrease from May, while the index rose 1.8% year-over-year.

CPI Excluding Tobacco Products

The consumer price index excluding tobacco reached 102.09 in June. It also fell 0.3% month-over-month and increased 1.7% annually.
