Bitget has announced that it will provide professional-grade Level 2 market data for U.S. stocks at no additional cost to eligible users. The move positions the platform among the first trading services to offer advanced market depth information typically reserved for institutional investors.

Professional Trading Data Becomes More Accessible

Traditionally, access to Level 2 market data has been limited to hedge funds, institutional traders, and professional trading firms due to the high costs associated with exchange licensing and premium data subscriptions.

By removing these barriers, Bitget aims to provide retail investors with access to the same market intelligence tools used by professional market participants. This includes deeper visibility into liquidity conditions, order flow, and trading activity.

What Is Included in Level 2 Market Data?

The free offering provides access to data streams from Nasdaq TotalView and Blue Ocean market feeds. These services deliver detailed information on up to 40 levels of bid and ask depth, real-time transaction data, and advanced depth charts.

Coverage extends beyond regular market hours and includes pre-market, after-hours, and overnight trading sessions, allowing investors to monitor market activity around the clock.

Users who qualify for VIP 1 status through trading volume or VIP 3 status through asset holdings can access these features without paying the fees typically associated with professional market data services.

According to Bitget, eligible users could save approximately $276 per year compared to traditional subscription-based market data packages.

Bitget CEO Highlights Retail Investor Access

Commenting on the initiative, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen emphasized that while cryptocurrency markets have helped democratize financial opportunities, traditional financial markets often restrict access to important information through costly subscription models.

She stated that the company’s goal is to eliminate the information gap between institutional and retail investors by making professional-level stock market data more widely available.

Part of the Broader Stocks 2.0 Strategy

The launch forms part of Bitget’s broader Stocks 2.0 initiative, which is designed to simplify access to a wide range of financial products. The strategy focuses on expanding user access to equities, ETFs, tokenized stocks, stock perpetual contracts, and other multi-asset trading opportunities.

Bitget describes this approach as part of its vision of becoming a Universal Exchange, where traditional financial products and digital assets can be traded within a single ecosystem.

By offering Level 2 market data free of charge, the company is taking another step toward providing retail traders with tools and information that were previously available only to professional market participants.
