Anthropic Launches Claude for Small Business

Anthropic has officially introduced Claude for Small Business, a new AI-focused solution designed to help smaller companies automate workflows and integrate artificial intelligence into their daily operations.

The platform connects Claude with widely used business software, including Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.

AI Workflows for Finance, Marketing, and Operations

Claude for Small Business launches with 15 pre-built workflows aimed at simplifying tasks across finance, operations, sales, human resources, marketing, and customer support.

Businesses can use the AI assistant for tasks such as payroll planning, monthly accounting closures, invoice management, account reconciliation, and marketing campaign execution. Anthropic emphasized that users remain in control, as Claude requires approval before completing actions like sending payments or publishing content.

Anthropic Expands AI Education for Entrepreneurs

As part of the launch, Anthropic partnered with PayPal to introduce AI Fluency for Small Business, a free online educational course available starting today.

The company is also rolling out the Claude SMB Tour, which begins on May 14 in Chicago. The initiative will provide free half-day workshops for up to 100 local business leaders in each city.

The spring tour will include stops in Chicago, Tulsa, Dallas, Hamilton Township, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, San Jose, and Indianapolis.

New Funding and Support Programs for Small Businesses

Anthropic is additionally collaborating with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Workday Foundation on a new Solopreneurship Accelerator Program.

The initiative is expected to support 15 entrepreneurs in 2026 through seed funding, Claude credits, and AI-focused training resources.

The AI company is also working alongside Community Development Financial Institutions, including Accion Opportunity Fund, Community Reinvestment Fund USA, and Pacific Community Ventures. These partnerships will provide technical assistance and Claude credits to participating businesses.

Small Businesses Remain Cautious About AI

Small businesses currently represent around 44% of U.S. GDP and employ nearly half of the country’s private-sector workforce.

According to Anthropic, many business owners still have concerns about adopting artificial intelligence tools. In a recent survey conducted by the company, roughly half of respondents identified data security as their primary hesitation regarding AI adoption.

Anthropic stated that Claude for Small Business does not train on customer data by default for users subscribed to Team and Enterprise plans.
