Shares of Meta Platforms jumped nearly 7% in early Frankfurt trading on Thursday, after several major brokerages lifted their price targets. The upgrades followed earnings results in which the Instagram owner projected first-quarter revenue above Wall Street expectations.

On Wednesday, Meta also sharply increased its capital spending plans for 2026, raising forecast investment by around 73%. The move reflects the company’s push into so-called “superintelligence,” aimed at delivering highly personalized artificial intelligence tools across its vast social media ecosystem.
