Hyundai Motor is recalling 83,877 vehicles in the United States after identifying an issue that could cause the instrument panel display to malfunction, potentially preventing drivers from seeing critical safety information such as the speedometer or fuel gauge, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Friday.
The problem is linked to the vehicle’s audio and navigation software. Hyundai Motor said the affected software will be updated either through an over-the-air update or via inspection and repair at authorized dealerships, with all fixes provided at no cost to owners.
