U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that efforts to end the war in Ukraine appear to be moving forward, just days before planned discussions between U.S. and Russian officials scheduled for this weekend.
Speaking during an event at the Oval Office, Trump suggested that negotiations may be nearing a turning point. He said he believes talks aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine are getting close to a meaningful outcome.
The president also stressed the need for urgency from Kyiv. He stated that he hopes Ukraine will act quickly as diplomatic efforts continue.
