Trump Says India Will Stop Buying Russian Oil

This is the second time in a week that Trump has made this claim. Earlier, he stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally told him about the decision to halt Russian oil imports.
However, Indian government officials later denied any such discussion. They said they were not aware of any conversation between the two leaders regarding oil trade or sanctions policy.
The statement comes at a time of heightened global attention on India’s energy ties and its balancing act between Western allies and Russia.
