Swedish consumer confidence improved in August, rising to 91.1 points from a slightly revised 90.8 in July, according to data published Thursday by the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER).
The broader economic sentiment indicator, which reflects industry, construction, and retail sectors in addition to consumer confidence, also posted stronger gains. It climbed to 96.0 points in August, up from 94.3 the previous month.
The figures highlight a continued positive trend in Sweden’s economic outlook, with both consumer and business sentiment indicators showing steady improvement.
