The XRP Ledger has recently approved two significant amendments, “fixEmptyDID” and “fixPreviousTxnID,” with backing from 31 validators.

  • Ripple’s RLUSD Treasury minted 300,000 RLUSD on September 28th, following previous mints of 50,000 and 5,515 RLUSD. The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is advancing with these recent updates, generating excitement within the crypto community. The two amendments, “fixEmptyDID” and “fixPreviousTxnID,” were approved by 31 validators, exceeding the required threshold for implementation.
  • In addition, Ripple is actively developing its new stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD). Initially announced in early September, RLUSD is intended to complement existing XRP tokens and will operate on two blockchain networks, offering an alternative in a stablecoin market currently led by USDT and USDC.
  • **RLUSD: Testing and Minting Developments**
Ripple has been testing RLUSD on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum network since the private beta launched on August 9th. Recently, Ripple’s RLUSD Treasury minted 300,000 RLUSD, an event reported by Ethereum blockchain explorer Etherscan on September 28th at 03:13:47 AM UTC. Additionally, the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker on X (formerly Twitter) noted two previous mints—50,000 RLUSD on September 27th and 5,515 RLUSD on September 25th.
  • It’s important to note that RLUSD has not yet received regulatory approval, meaning it cannot be traded or purchased. Nonetheless, Ripple continues preparations for the stablecoin’s launch, with recent updates including the RLUSD logo on Ledger Live and automatic bridging of RLUSD transactions via XRP.
  • While the timeline for RLUSD’s official release remains uncertain, ongoing testing and development on both networks suggest that Ripple is positioning itself for a successful launch.
