NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang is accompanying U.S. President Donald Trump on his current trip to the Middle East—a visit that’s already proving highly beneficial for the AI chipmaker.
NVIDIA shares rose 5.5% by early afternoon trading on Wall Street.
In Saudi Arabia, where Trump delivered remarks today, NVIDIA announced a major partnership with HUMAIN, a fully integrated AI subsidiary launched by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Under the agreement, HUMAIN will utilize NVIDIA’s advanced chip technology to build massive AI “factories” with a planned capacity of 500 megawatts powered by hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs over the next five years. The first step includes deploying 18,000 Grace Blackwell GB300 superchips to construct secure, scalable AI infrastructure designed to support innovation and the creation of national AI systems throughout the region.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported that the Trump administration is considering allowing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to import more than a million advanced NVIDIA chips.
Negotiations could authorize the shipment of up to 500,000 high-end chips per year through 2027. About 20% of these chips are earmarked for G42, an Abu Dhabi-based AI company. The remainder would support U.S. firms building data centers in the UAE, including a potential expansion by OpenAI, which is reportedly planning to grow its infrastructure in the Gulf region.
According to sources, G42 may ultimately gain access to computing capacity equivalent to 1–1.5 million of NVIDIA’s H100 chips over the duration of the agreement.
During his address in Saudi Arabia, President Trump praised Huang and NVIDIA’s contribution to the U.S. economy, saying, “We are proud to have you in our country,” and referencing NVIDIA’s $500 billion U.S. investment.
