Crypto prediction markets are gaining momentum as MetaMask officially integrates Polymarket into its mobile wallet. With this update, users can now place predictions on real-world events directly inside MetaMask without switching between multiple apps. This integration marks the first time a self-custodial wallet offers native access to prediction markets, showing how MetaMask is evolving from a simple wallet into a more advanced, real-time engagement platform.
The new feature is available on the latest version of MetaMask Mobile. Users can browse active markets, fund their balance within seconds, and make predictions across categories like politics, sports, crypto, culture, and global events. MetaMask explains that each prediction represents a value-backed belief, creating stronger signals of public sentiment. Because users stake real funds, these markets often react faster than traditional polls.
Polymarket’s recent CFTC approval for U.S. market operations has also increased interest in regulated prediction platforms. MetaMask sees this integration as a key step in improving the mobile experience, addressing long-standing issues with switching between dApps during live events or while commuting.
According to Mike Lwin, Senior Director of Product at MetaMask, prediction trading is now a fully mobile experience. Everything happens inside the MetaMask environment, allowing users to react instantly to games, debates, or breaking news. The Polymarket ecosystem is also expanding, with founder Shayne Coplan hinting at a potential POLY token launch.
MetaMask considers this upgrade part of a larger transformation. The wallet has added major new features this year, including Solana support, native Bitcoin capabilities, perpetuals, Multichain Accounts, and an improved Swap and Bridge interface. Hyperliquid was also integrated recently, enabling perpetual trading directly within the app.
MetaMask believes prediction markets add a powerful collective intelligence layer, helping users interpret global events while shaping the future of decentralized engagement.
