Khamenei Rejects Trump’s Surrender Demand, Warns U.S. Against Military Action
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei firmly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for Iran’s unconditional surrender, delivering his response via a televised statement on Wednesday.
This was Khamenei’s first public message since his address on Friday, which followed Israel’s launch of airstrikes on Iran.
“Those who understand Iran, its people, and its history know that using the language of threats is futile—this nation will never surrender,” Khamenei declared.
He stressed that neither peace nor war can be forced upon Iran and issued a pointed warning to Washington.
“U.S. leaders must realize that any military action by America will inflict damage that cannot be undone,” he cautioned.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that the Trump administration is actively considering military options, including possibly coordinating with Israel to target Iranian nuclear sites.
