JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said on Thursday that the largest U.S. bank is exploring opportunities with financial institutions in Europe and Latin America.
Dimon made the remarks while responding to Banco Santander Executive Chair Ana Botín, who had been discussing the economic growth potential in both regions during a public event.
“We are looking at all the banks over there in Europe, and we are looking at Latin American banks too,” Dimon said.
While Dimon did not confirm whether these reviews involve potential acquisitions or partnerships, his comments suggest that JPMorgan may be evaluating expansion strategies beyond the United States.
This statement comes as global banks continue to assess new markets amid shifting interest rates, digital transformation, and rising demand for cross-border financial services.
