German Apartment Permits Rise in June as Property Sector Seeks Stability
Building permits for apartments in Germany rose 7.9% in June compared to the same month a year earlier, data from the national statistics office showed on Monday. The increase offers a rare boost for the country’s troubled property sector.
The growth comes from a low base but is still positive news after a decline in permits the previous month. Germany’s housing and property market has struggled since 2022, with high costs and weak demand weighing on the industry.
