U.K. equities started lower on Friday, with losses in the Life InsuranceGas Water & Multiutilities, Industrial Engineering, and rises in the Construction & Building Materials sectors.

At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index fell 0.81%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index were also down. The FTSE 250 dropped 0.38%, while the FTSE 350 fell by 0.37%.
