Ford Recalls Over 412,000 Explorer SUVs Over Steering Risk
Ford Motor Company is recalling 412,774 Explorer SUVs in the United States due to a potential defect in the rear suspension system, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The issue involves rear suspension toe links that may fracture. If the component breaks, it could lead to a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The safety regulator stated that Ford dealers will replace the defective toe links free of charge for affected vehicle owners.
Additional Ford Recall Over Battery and Brake Issues
In a separate action, Ford is also recalling 40,655 additional vehicles in the U.S. due to battery failures and brake pedal defects. These problems may further raise the risk of accidents if left unaddressed.
Vehicle owners are advised to check whether their models are affected and contact authorized dealerships for inspection and necessary repairs.
