Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, has been largely restored following a significant outage that affected tens of thousands of users across the United States on Saturday, according to tracking site Downdetector.com. In the wake of the disruption, Musk announced he’s once again “spending 24/7” immersed in his companies.

At the height of the outage, around 8:51 a.m. ET, over 25,800 users reported problems accessing X. By 12:09 p.m. ET, the number of reports had dropped to fewer than 650. Users in several other countries—including Germany, India, Canada, and the UK—were also impacted during the downtime.

“Back to working around the clock and sleeping in conference rooms, server hubs, and factory floors,” Musk posted on X. He said his attention is now sharply focused on X, his AI company xAI, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), and the upcoming Starship launch scheduled for next week, citing the rollout of “critical technologies.”

X has not issued an official response to media inquiries regarding the outage.

Musk, who previously spent nearly $300 million supporting Donald Trump’s reelection bid and GOP causes, recently stated he plans to cut back on political contributions—an apparent shift back toward focusing on his business ventures amid investor concerns.

As head of the Department of Government Efficiency, Musk oversaw widespread federal job cuts and the cancellation of billions in government contracts and grants. However, his political involvement sparked backlash in both the U.S. and Europe, contributing to a drop in Tesla sales and the company’s first annual delivery decline in years.

Investor anxiety over Musk’s time management has been mounting. In an attempt to reassure them, he previously said he would scale back his involvement with DOGE to just one or two days a week starting in May.
