El Salvador is set to make history by hosting Bitcoin Histórico, the world’s first government-backed Bitcoin conference, scheduled for November 12–13, 2025. The event will take place in San Salvador’s historic center and is organized by the National Bitcoin Office, highlighting the country’s role as a pioneer in digital currency adoption.

The conference will feature global leaders and Bitcoin advocates, including Ricardo Salinas, Max Keiser, Stacy Herbert, Jack Mallers, Jeff Booth, Pierre Rochard, Jimmy Song, Darin Feinstein, and Lina Seiche. Organizers describe it as a celebration of financial freedom, cultural renewal, and monetary sovereignty. Early bird tickets are available exclusively in Bitcoin, with fiat payment options opening later in September.

Centro Histórico will transform into a hub of innovation and debate, with the main stage at the National Palace and live broadcasts on LED screens in Plaza Gerardo Barrios. Additional discussions and workshops will take place at BINAES and the National Theater. Key topics include regulation, Bitcoin infrastructure, energy use, financial inclusion, and the challenges of volatility and public education.

The event coincides with President Nayib Bukele’s extended presidency following constitutional reforms allowing longer terms and indefinite re-election. Bukele, a strong Bitcoin supporter, has already positioned El Salvador as a global leader in crypto adoption, with the country now holding more than 6,200 BTC.

Tickets are priced at $350 for general access and $2,100 for the Genesis Crown Pass, which includes VIP seating, private networking with speakers, and exclusive merchandise. Analysts believe the conference could influence Bitcoin’s global adoption and inspire other nations to explore similar strategies.
