Bybit Partners with Tether to Boost Crypto Adoption in Brazil

Bybit, the world’s second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has announced a strategic partnership with Tether. The goal is to promote cryptocurrency adoption across Brazil through education, partnerships, and events.

As part of the initiative, Bybit and Tether will co-sponsor Blockchain Rio, one of Latin America’s top blockchain conferences. New users who register with Bybit during the event will receive a bonus in USD₮, Tether’s stablecoin.

The two companies are also in discussions with Visit Rio to introduce cryptocurrency into the city’s tourism sector. This move could allow tourists to earn USD₮ rewards and enjoy discounts when using digital currencies for local purchases and services—positioning Rio de Janeiro as a crypto-friendly destination.

Bybit will also launch a nationwide educational program. This includes “Learn to Earn” campaigns that reward users for completing blockchain courses. The program will offer in-person workshops, university events, and seminars designed for students, developers, and entrepreneurs.

Since appointing Israel Buzaym as Country Manager, Bybit has expanded its operations in Brazil. The exchange has launched localized services like Bybit Pay and the Bybit Card, bridging the gap between traditional finance and digital assets.

“I’m proud to lead Bybit in Brazil during this exciting time,” said Buzaym. “Brazilians are quick to adopt innovation, and our growth here reflects that. Partnering with Tether brings the trust, liquidity, and strategic drive needed to make crypto a part of daily life.”

Tether, the issuer of USD₮, is the most widely used stablecoin globally, with a market cap of over $114 billion. Its strong presence supports digital payments and financial innovation around the world.
