Boeing announced on Tuesday that it delivered 57 jets in August, up from 48 in July. This was the company’s strongest August since 2018, when it handed over 64 aircraft.
By the end of August, Boeing had delivered 385 jets in 2025, already surpassing its full-year 2024 total of 348 planes.
Last year’s performance was impacted by a seven-week strike in the Seattle area. That disruption, however, did not begin until September.
Meanwhile, rival Airbus delivered 61 jets in August, bringing its annual total to 434 aircraft.
Boeing’s August deliveries included 42 of its 737 MAX jets. Seven went to Ryanair and six to United Airlines. The company also delivered 14 widebody aircraft, including nine 787 Dreamliners, four 777s, and one 767.
Chinese airlines received nine Boeing jets in August. Deliveries included six 737 MAX aircraft and two 787-9s.
On the orders side, Boeing secured 26 gross orders in August. Cathay Pacific led with a purchase of 14 777-9 jets. The company also won orders for five 737 MAXs and seven 787 Dreamliners. Two 737 MAX orders were canceled.
So far in 2025, Boeing has booked 725 gross orders, offset by 46 cancellations and conversions. After adjustments, the company’s backlog now stands at 5,994 aircraft.
