In recent Bitcoin news, a European Member of Parliament has ignited discussions by advocating for Europe to adopt Bitcoin as a strategic reserve. Drawing inspiration from the US, where Donald Trump hinted at a similar move, the MP argued that Europe should prioritize Bitcoin investments over the digital euro project.

European MP Supports Bitcoin Adoption

The global race for Bitcoin adoption appears to be intensifying following Donald Trump’s pro-Bitcoin stance and his pledge to establish a US Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The MP cited El Salvador’s bold BTC investment strategy as a successful case study, noting that despite initial skepticism, El Salvador’s Bitcoin holdings have grown by over 100% in value.

Criticizing the European Central Bank’s digital euro plans, the MP emphasized the importance of financial freedom and urged Europe to follow the US in embracing Bitcoin as a strategic asset.

Rising Global Focus on BTC

Bitcoin has increasingly captured global attention, with rising institutional adoption and inflows into US Spot Bitcoin ETFs. Companies like MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, have continued accumulating BTC, showcasing growing confidence in the asset’s long-term potential.

Other nations, such as Japan and Bhutan, are also making strides in crypto adoption, reflecting a broader shift toward digital assets among global leaders. Market analysts remain optimistic, with veteran trader Peter Brandt predicting BTC could hit $125,000 soon.

BTC Price Surge

Bitcoin’s price surged nearly 3% today, reaching $106,741, with its 24-hour trading volume rising 19% to $79 billion. BTC also touched a new all-time high of $107,780.58, driven by optimism surrounding a potential US Bitcoin Strategic Reserve under Trump’s leadership.

The European MP’s proposal further adds momentum to BTC discussions, as experts anticipate that institutional and global adoption will fuel Bitcoin’s upward trajectory in the coming months.
