Foxconn Reportedly Secures SpaceX AI Server Contract
Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn, has reportedly secured its first contract to manufacture artificial intelligence servers for SpaceX.
Taiwan’s Economic Daily reported on Sunday that the agreement could be worth approximately $52 billion. However, the estimated value is based on the reported number and cost of the planned server racks rather than an officially confirmed contract figure.
SpaceX Plans More Than 13,000 AI Server Racks
According to the report, SpaceX intends to deploy more than 13,000 AI server racks powered by Nvidia GB300 chips.
Each rack is estimated to cost around $4 million. Based on that calculation, the total value of the Foxconn SpaceX AI server deal could reach roughly $52 billion.
The order would mark Foxconn’s first AI server manufacturing contract with Elon Musk’s aerospace company.
Foxconn Could Challenge Dell and Super Micro
The reported contract could reshape SpaceX’s AI server supply chain.
Economic Daily said Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer had previously dominated AI server deliveries to SpaceX.
Securing the new order would therefore allow Foxconn to expand its presence among major North American cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure customers.
Foxconn Sees Strong AI Server Demand
Foxconn does not normally comment on orders from individual customers.
However, the company has previously said demand for its AI server products remains strong.
Chairman Liu Yangwei expects Foxconn to control more than 40% of the global AI server market this year. He has also forecast that AI server rack shipments will double and continue rising through the end of the year.
Cloud and networking products, mainly supported by AI servers, have already become Foxconn’s largest business segment.
Deliveries Could Begin in Late 2026
Economic Daily reported that SpaceX recently increased its planned Nvidia GB300 server deployment to approximately 13,000 racks.
Deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026 and continue into the first quarter of the following year.
The schedule suggests that SpaceX is preparing for a significant expansion of its artificial intelligence computing capacity.
SpaceX Expands AI Computing Infrastructure
SpaceX is reportedly building more AI infrastructure to support cloud computing services and other advanced projects.
The company has recently reached agreements involving Anthropic and Google, according to the report.
SpaceX is also said to be pursuing artificial intelligence computing projects with the U.S. Department of Defense.
These developments highlight the company’s growing focus on AI infrastructure alongside its aerospace, satellite and communications operations.
