South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix Inc. is reportedly aiming to price its highly anticipated US listing at $149 per American depositary receipt, according to Bloomberg. The report cited people familiar with the matter.

The proposed ADR price would represent a premium of about 3.1% over the company’s Thursday closing price in Seoul. SK Hynix shares ended the session at 218,600 won, or about $144.50.

SK Hynix Could Make US Listing History

If the deal is completed, the US debut could become a major milestone for global technology listings in New York.

At the proposed $149 ADR price, the offering could become the largest first-time share sale in the US by a foreign company. That would place SK Hynix among the most important international listings ever seen on Wall Street.

Listing Could Surpass Alibaba’s Record Debut

A successful launch at this valuation could also challenge one of the biggest listings in market history.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s $25 billion US debut has long stood as a benchmark for large foreign listings. SK Hynix’s offering could potentially surpass that milestone and reshape the rankings for international technology IPOs.

AI Demand Boosts SK Hynix Momentum

The timing of the listing comes as global demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to surge.

SK Hynix is a leading supplier of High Bandwidth Memory chips, also known as HBM. These advanced memory chips are essential for Nvidia’s AI processors, which have become central to the global AI boom.

This strong position in the AI supply chain gives SK Hynix a powerful market narrative as it prepares for a possible US debut.

Final Details Could Still Change

However, the report noted that talks are still ongoing. Final details, including the timing and size of the US listing, could still change before the offering is completed.

An SK Hynix spokesperson did not immediately respond to Bloomberg’s request for comment.

ADR Pricing Breakdown

The proposed ADR price is set at $149.00.

SK Hynix shares closed in Seoul at 218,600 won on Thursday, equal to roughly $144.50. That implies a premium of around 3.1% compared with the domestic market price.

The pricing highlights strong investor interest in SK Hynix, especially as AI-related semiconductor stocks remain in focus across global markets.
