U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States has not yet carried out its most significant strikes against Iran, warning that a larger wave of action could still lie ahead in the escalating conflict.
In an interview with CNN, Trump stated that Washington has not begun hitting Iran at full force and suggested that more substantial measures may be coming soon. His remarks followed the reported killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a development that has heightened tensions in the region.
Trump also indicated that the current leadership situation in Iran remains uncertain. He said the United States does not have clarity on who is presently in charge and does not know who Iran may ultimately choose as its next leader.
The president’s comments add to growing geopolitical uncertainty, as markets and global leaders closely monitor developments in the Iran conflict and the potential for further escalation.
