Trump: Iran Strikes Ongoing, More American Casualties Likely

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that military operations against Iran will continue for now, while warning that additional American casualties are likely.

In a video message posted on Truth.Social, Trump stated that “combat operations continue at this time in full force, and they will continue until all our objectives are achieved.” He confirmed that three U.S. service members had been killed in action and indicated that further losses could occur as the conflict unfolds.

“Sadly, there will likely be more. Before it ends, that’s the way it is,” Trump said, adding that the United States would avenge the deaths of its troops.

Trump maintained a firm stance against Iran and reiterated Washington’s support for Israel. He claimed that Iran’s military leadership had been effectively dismantled and suggested that many within the country were seeking to surrender.

The remarks follow a series of coordinated U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran that reportedly killed hundreds across the country, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and several neighboring countries in the Middle East, including Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Iran was also reported to have targeted vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic shipping route that is critical for global energy supplies.

The renewed escalation between the United States and Iran comes after recent talks over Tehran’s nuclear program failed to produce a clear breakthrough. Washington has repeatedly called on Iran to halt its nuclear enrichment activities and previously carried out strikes on key nuclear facilities last year.
