German inflation eased to 2.0% in December, Germany’s federal statistics office confirmed on Friday, reinforcing earlier indications of slowing price pressures.
Harmonised consumer prices, which are adjusted to allow comparisons across the European Union, declined from a year-on-year rate of 2.6% recorded in November, marking a notable moderation in inflation.
The finalized data was in line with the preliminary figures previously published by Federal Statistical Office of Germany, confirming the initial estimate without revisions.
