Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, reported fourth-quarter revenue of T$1,046.08 billion ($33.05 billion) on Friday, based on calculations by Reuters using the company’s monthly disclosures.
The result came in above market expectations and marked a 20.45% increase from the same period a year earlier, driven by strong demand linked to artificial intelligence applications.
Analysts surveyed by LSEG had forecast fourth-quarter revenue of T$1,035.913 billion ($32.73 billion), according to the LSEG SmartEstimate compiled from 20 analysts.
TSMC is a key manufacturing partner for major technology companies, including Nvidia and Apple, supplying advanced chips used across a wide range of products.
