China’s central bank is set to release an action plan outlining how the digital yuan will be managed, according to the Financial Times, a publication operated by the People’s Bank of China. The report said the plan will introduce a new generation digital measurement framework and operational mechanism, which will take effect on January 1.
The move signals China’s continued push to strengthen oversight and standardisation of its central bank digital currency as adoption expands across the economy.
