Airbus Deliveries Fall 3% in First Eight Months of 2025
Airbus delivered 61 aircraft in August, bringing its total deliveries for the first eight months of the year to 434 jets. That figure is down 3% compared to the same period in 2024, the company confirmed on Friday, in line with a Reuters report.
Major Orders Boost Airbus Backlog
The European aerospace giant also finalized an order for 90 jets from Avolon, following the Irish lessor’s shareholder approval for a fleet expansion last month.
So far in 2025, Airbus has secured 600 gross orders, or a net total of 504 after cancellations. August business included an order for seven A350-1000s from an undisclosed buyer.
Full-Year Target Remains Ambitious
Airbus still aims to deliver 820 aircraft in 2025, up 7% from the 766 delivered in 2024. To reach this goal, the company will need to accelerate output in the final months of the year.
Industry sources and analysts noted that Airbus must achieve a record pace of deliveries to offset earlier engine and seat supply delays.
