Canary Capital Registers Trump Coin ETF in Delaware, TRUMP Price Jumps
Asset manager Canary Capital has taken the first step toward launching a Trump Coin spot ETF, registering the “Canary Trump Coin ETF” with the Delaware Division of Corporations on August 13. The move signals plans to file the necessary S-1 and 19b-4 forms with the U.S. SEC, enabling institutional access to the meme coin.
If approved, Trump Coin would become the third meme coin with a spot ETF, joining Dogecoin and PENGU. Analysts see this as a bullish development, potentially boosting TRUMP’s liquidity and market presence, especially given the SEC’s stance that meme coins are commodities.
Following the news, TRUMP’s price climbed from around $9.40 to $9.60, up nearly 4% on the day and over 10% in the past week. However, the Solana-based token remains 64% below its $75 all-time high set in January.
