Elon Musk Blasts Spending Bill, Calls for Creation of New Political Party
Tesla CEO Elon Musk voiced strong opposition to the proposed spending bill on Monday, airing his frustration on his social media platform, X.
Musk took aim at what he described as “insane spending” included in the legislation, highlighting that it would raise the U.S. debt ceiling by a record $5 trillion.
“This bill makes it clear—we’re living in a one-party state,” Musk wrote. “The PORKY PIG PARTY! Time for a political party that actually represents the people.”
This is not the first time Musk has criticized the measure, and his comments have previously drawn criticism from President Donald Trump, who is pushing to get the sweeping tax-and-spending package approved before the July 4 holiday.
