The Trump administration is not planning to replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in the near future, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated on Thursday.
The reserve, which serves as the nation’s emergency oil supply, remains at its lowest level since the 1980s. The sharp decline followed President Joe Biden’s decision to release large volumes from the stockpile in an effort to stabilize prices during a period of market volatility.
