U.S. President Donald Trump held a constructive phone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday, focusing on the details of their recently finalized trade agreement. The roughly 90-minute call was described as yielding positive results for both sides.

Trump shared highlights of the call on his Truth Social platform, emphasizing that the discussion centered exclusively on trade issues, with no mention of Russia, Ukraine, or Iran. He also noted that ongoing concerns over rare earth materials were no longer expected to pose a challenge in negotiations.

The President announced that both delegations would meet in the near future—at a location yet to be determined—to continue discussions on the trade deal. The U.S. team will include Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.

During the call, President Xi invited President Trump and the First Lady to visit China, an invitation that Trump graciously accepted and reciprocated. Both leaders expressed enthusiasm for the future visit, viewing it as a sign of mutual respect and deepening bilateral cooperation.

Trump concluded by assuring the public that details regarding the time and place of the upcoming meeting would be shared with the media and thanked Americans for their continued interest in U.S.–China relations.
