Ford Motor is recalling more than 32,000 vehicles in the United States after a safety defect was found that could increase the risk of accidents. The recall affects 32,160 vehicles, according to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Regulators said the recall was issued because impacted vehicles may suffer a sudden loss of drive power, which could pose a serious safety concern for drivers.

The NHTSA explained that the issue is linked to a half shaft that may not be properly connected to the main drive unit, potentially leading to power loss while the vehicle is in operation.
